Reason:
In the nearly seven years I've known Neil, he has never tried to be something he's not. He doesn't care what others think and makes decisions in his life based on what is best for him and his family, not what will impress or appeal to everyone else. He is who he is. Take it or leave it!

Our first Christmas
December 2002 - Provo, UT in our first (tiny) apartment.
I was absolutely adamant about getting a tree, and while it was a royal pain to maneuver it down the stairs and into our 400 sq. ft. basement apartment, it made our first Christmas together all the more magical and romantic.
Fact:
I have never seen Neil cry. I seem to make up for it though - I'm quite the bawl baby myself.

I love this about Neil too. It's very healthy - for everyone.
I have always LOVED that picture!!! It could win a contest. What a wonderful memory of that first Christmas in your precious little apartment. I have such happy memories of being there for Friday night dinners with Dad and you guys, and fun movies...like "The Emperor's New Groove." You've always been such a wonderful cook - dinners were so delicious.
Fourteen more minutes of birthday - enjoy!
Love you soooo!
Mama
That's cool, I wish I didn't care what anyone thought.

What a cute idea! I love seeing the photos of you guys from way back when :) Hope you had a great birthday!
What a fun (and FUNNY) picture!!! I don't think you could do it again and get the exact same facial expressions and body language again if you tried!! Sooo cute! And what a fun memory! Those early ones are some of the best ones, aren't they?
And yes, I think that is a great quality too!
